What should I set as the default document (homepage)?

By default we have the following default documents:

index.htmindex
.htmlindex
.phpindex
.aspDefault
.htmDefault
.htmlDefault
.aspDefault
.aspxOne

of these files must be in the root, otherwise the homepage will not work.
