How do I add PayPal to my Website?

This article explains how to add the PayPal payment option to your website. This can be a webshop payment, or as simple as a donate button!
PayPal is a way of an online wallet that is easy to set up and use. It is also recognized all over the world and is a valid means of payment in most webshops.
This way you always have the option to pay securely and as a website owner a safe and trusted way for customers to pay invoices.

You can easily add PayPal to your website. When you work with Wordpress or Joomla there are handy plugins for this. As an example you have a PayPal shopping cart plugin here

A business PayPal account
Your merchant ID is your business account id in Dutch. This is required for the steps we will cover further in this article. You can view this at the bottom of the page at the following link. (Of course you have to log in to your account first). You can then use this to link to the payment link within your company.
If you do not have a business account or company has linked then you can open the following link within the home page of PayPal.



You click on "Upgrade to a business account" in the bottom left column After this you follow the steps within PayPal to complete this.

Installing

You go to PayPal's Github page to retrieve the source code. Then you choose the option you want to use. You have the option of the following buttons:





You can incorporate this source code into your website. This can be done on a place of your choice in your template. Either with an editor or manually in the files. If you put this in an HTML div then you can put this in the CSS as you like.
