How can I protect my website with a password (or a directory) ?

How can I password protect my website or how can I password protect a particular directory?

1. Click on websites in the left menu

2. Click on your domain

3. Click on .htaccess, show security options

4. First add a user. If you have added a user go to Add .htaccess.

Add Folder:

Folder Title: For your own recognition

FolderPath:

As soon as you click on the entry field you will automatically get an overview of all the folders that fall under your website. Choose the appropriate folder.

Choose Root Folder to protect your entire website.
