Installing Limesurvey
Installing Limesurvey within your hosting space goes as follows.
What you need for this installation is:
- MySQL database and user.
- Installation file of Limesurvey. This has been tested with version 2.58 downloadable at previous link.
- FTP account or Filemanager
You upload the files using FTP or the file manager to the desired folder. In our case this is directly in the root of the subdomain. This can be uploaded with the Zip or with the separate files.
After that navigate in the browser to your installation URL and get to the following screen.
You can go to the next step and check the necessary requirements. If you have not set write permissions for the folders, you can do this in the following way.
After this, the database data comes in handy, you fill in the data as created in the control panel. Note the database host / location, this depends on the server where you are hosted by us. If you are not sure, you can check this in the control panel -> MySQL -> database.
You will get the following message that the database has already been created, this is correct. Here you can click on Populate database to fill the database with the files of limesurvey.
In the last step, enter your admin information, change it to your liking and think of a good strong password. The password generator is useful for this:

After this you can directly login to the administrator with the link administration, then login with your just created data.
After that you can use the LimSurvey application.
