Installing Pagekit

To install Pagekit at MijnHostingPartner.nl the following steps can be followed using the following tools:

• Pagekit package from the pagekit website
• FTP client FileZilla with an FTP account
• MySQL database with user as created in the control panel
• Control panel filemanager

First step is to upload the installation package or zip of Pagekit in the wwwroot and unzip it via the filemanager. After that, all the necessary files are directly in the wwwroot. After that, you can also turn on the write permissions on the wwwroot.


Then navigate to your domain name in the browser to open the installation and click on the icon.





You then choose the language you want to have set, this can also be changed later.





The next step is to create a database connection with MySQL. SQLite is also an option but we do not recommend it since it is a lot slower than our MySQL servers. You connect to the MySQL database you created in the control panel, make sure you use the right host. This can be checked by logging into mysqlwebadmin.nl. You will see a number in front of it which you then use to connect.
Copy the other data literally as you have created in the control panel, so also capital letters!







When you have connected to the database, the next step is to enter the Site Title and your administrator account.







Which you then log into to get to the administrator environment.





You are now ready to start building your own website within Pagekit hosting!
