What is a good password?

123456&', 'hello', 'password', 'monkey' and 'killer'. Some examples from the top 20 most used passwords on the Internet. Easy to crack passwords can be found for 94% in a so-called 'hacker' dictionary.

These passwords cannot be used at MijnHostingPartner. It is also not recommended to use passwords that refer to yourself. For example, you should not use your name, birth date, place of residence, etc.

And has a hacker stolen your password, chances are he can access all your accounts. One in five Dutch people always use the same password. The hacker will probably also try to access other accounts such as your bank account.

For a Mail account at MijnHostingPartner.nl the requirements are stricter, which are:

-
Contains a minimum of 12 characters - Contains a maximum of 30 characters - Minimum of
two uppercase letters
-
Minimum two lower case letters - Minimum two numbers -
Minimum two foreign characters (!
@#$%).
-
Is not directly traceable to yourself (age, license plate number, last name etc)
- A maximum of 5 attempts may
be made
to log in in 1 hour.

Please note that it is not possible to use a minus sign in the password.

To make this easier, we have developed a password generator that will create a good password for you.
