I want to set up my mail for my iPhone, how do I do that?


To set up the mail on your iPhone, follow the steps below:

1 ) On the main screen of your iPhone go to 'settings'.



2 ) After this click on 'Mail, contacts, agenda'.



3 ) In the next screen click on 'Add account' after which you will arrive at the screen below and where you then click on 'Other'.



4) In the next screen, under the heading Mail, click on 'Add mail account'.



5 ) In the next screen you need to fill in your account details
:1. Name of the new account2
. Your mail address3
. The password that belongs to your mail address. You can find this in the control panel.
4. Description of the account.
5. Once you have entered all the information, click on 'Save' at the top right of the screen.



6) In the next screen you can choose how you want to receive and send mail. This is possible via 'IMAP' or via 'POP'. We advise you to choose 'IMAP'. With this setting your folders are also synchronized and you will have exactly the same information on your iPhone as on the webmail. For any sync tools we refer you to the webmail. There, under 'settings' is the heading 'My Hosting Partner Sync' where you can download software to sync all your devices.



7) If you scroll down in the screen above you will see the screen below. You need to fill in the following information there:
1. Hostname incoming mail: imap.mijnhostingpartner.nl2
. User name incoming mail:
naam@uwdomeinnaam.nl3. Password for incoming mail: The password that belongs to this mail address. You have set this in the control panel.
4. Hostname for outgoing mail: smtp.mijnhostingpartner.nl5
. User name outgoing mail:
naam@uwdomeinnaam.nl6. Password for outgoing mail: The password that belongs to this mail address. You have set this in the control panel.
7. If you have entered all data click on 'Save' at the top right of the screen



8) Then the iPhone will check your settings. This check takes a long time and at some point you will get the following screen asking if you want to configure the account without SSL. You need to click 'Yes' here.



9) Next, the iPhone will check the settings again. This again takes a very long time and you should just wait until the iPhone has checked the settings. It can take up to 5 minutes for your phone to respond. So keep this in mind. In many cases it asks again if you want to set up the account without SSL and then you have to click again on 'Yes'. After the second time it often goes faster and your account is saved on your phone.

To test the mail you can send a message to yourself. As soon as the mail is sent it should come back in immediately even after manual retrieval. If this is indeed the case, then your mail account has been successfully installed.
