Domain management in the new customer panel

In our new customer panel which is coming up, a lot of things have been given a huge overhaul. In the domain and DNS management we have a few big changes. We will explain them in more detail in this blog post.

With a large domain portfolio, being able to manage the DNS of a domain name is an important item to consider. When our customers needed to manage a large number of domains via the control panel we often got complaints that the speed was not good and that you lost track of the number of domains.

In our new customer control panel this has become much easier and above all faster to manage. It is no longer necessary to log into the control panel to change the DNS data. We are also working on a number of other improvements. Read on for all the latest news!

DNS management of a domain

DNS management is an important part of any domain name. It controls where your domain name ends up and what functionality is attached to it. Think of email, DNS of Google services like Google Search Console and many more things. Now you can manage all this quickly and easily via the customer panel when you are logged in. And everything you could do in the control panel, you can now do in the new customer panel.

Above you see how we have arranged this from the customer panel. You normally see all DNS records once you press the edit button. This is to prevent misclicks as much as possible. With the plus button you can then add a DNS record. Here you have the choice of all the normal settings that you also have in the control panel. Like the type of DNS record you want to add. For example TXT, CNAME or SRV etc.

In the next tab you can also change the nameservers, this is not new. Since this was already possible in the old customer panel. You can also use the refresh button to request the DNS records to be loaded again.

Website options and further management, directly from the customer panel

With the new customer panel we can quickly pick up and put in improvements. This is because we have developed it ourselves. With our team of programmers, we have spent a long time to all our wishes of a customer panel and all the wishes of our loyal customers to process. And to come up with a management system that everyone is happy with.

Domain management in the new customer panel

In a customer panel it is important to be able to work quickly and to be able to finish what you were trying to do. Whether this was editing a DNS record or some other task. With a lot of domains loading up, you want to be able to quickly jump and search for the one you need. Also, it is now no longer necessary to create a control panel account for Domain only packages. This again gives you the opportunity to not have to log into two places to accomplish the same thing.

Plans for the email packages and domain only packages

In the new customer panel of MijnHostingPartner.nl we are also planning to "detach" the email hosting packages from the control panel. This will give you the opportunity to quickly create an email address and further necessary settings for the email accounts. Plus the necessary DNS and website settings. Like redirecting or activating an SSL certificate.

So in this way you can easily and quickly apply the settings you might just need and move on. Especially for customers who need to set this up once when creating the package. You receive after activation of the domain immediately access to the customer panel. Here you create the settings within the DNS zone records, create an email address and basically nothing else needs to be done. So you can quickly and without interruption get started with your hosting or just your domain name and email.

We hope to switch to the new customer panel before Christmas. As always we will communicate this further before we actually implement this for all customers.
